  • 1969 - Defended the Candidate Thesis -“Influence of Hypothyreosis on the Thyroid Gland’s Function of their Offspring”;
  • 1969 - 1972 Ordinator, Maternity House No 10, Moscow, Russia;
  • 1972 - 1985 Junior scientist, Senior scientist, Head of the Department, All-Union Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Moscow, Russia;

    1979 - Defended the Doctoral Thesis “ Influence of Hormonal Contraception on Function of Thyroid, Pancreas, Adrenal Glands, Kidneys and liver”.

Professional Activity:

  • 1985 – 2012 General Director of the Zhordania Institute of Human Reproduction;
  • 1988 - 2002 WHO expert, during this period was engaged in pedagogical activities in different high schools;
  • 1993 - till now President of the Georgian Planned Parenthood Federation;
  • 1996 - till now The Academician of Georgian Academy of Medico-Biological Sciences  and member of it’s Presidium;
  • 1996 - 2012 Coordinator and Consultant of International Program’s in the field of Human Reproduction ( UNFPA, WHO);
  • 1998 - 2006 Founder and former Head of Department of Reproductology at Georgian State Medical Academy;
  • 1998 - till now Founder and Chief Editor of the Journal “Reproductology”;
  • 2002 - till now Founder and the President of Georgian Association of Reproductive Health;
  • 2008 - till now Academician of the Georgian Academy of Natural Sciences
