Academic visit of TSU Law Faculty representatives to the University of Seville

In May 2025, Associate Professor Tamar Zarandia, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), and Professor Natia Chitashvili, Executive Director of the TSU National Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution, undertook an academic visit to the University of Seville, Spain, within the framework of the Erasmus Staff Mobility for Training program.

The purpose of the visit was to exchange experiences and further align TSU’s administrative and academic practices with European standards. During the visit, the Dean of the Faculty of Law and the Director of the National Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution actively participated in working meetings, trainings, and seminars. These activities focused on topics such as planning internationalization strategies, improving student services, and administering Erasmus+ mobility programs.

The international week hosted by the University of Seville brought together 157 representatives from various countries around the world, with whom directions for future academic and institutional cooperation were outlined. Plans were made to implement joint Erasmus+ projects with several universities, including the Catholic University of Slovakia, the University of Łódź (Poland), and the Universities of Lviv and Dnipro (Ukraine).

The visit laid the foundation for new professional contacts and collaboration opportunities, which will contribute to the expansion of the TSU Faculty of Law’s international activities and the further strengthening of its position within the European higher education area.
