The Dean of the Faculty of Law of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Associate Professor Tamar Zarandia, paid an academic visit to France within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 project funded by the European Commission. The visit included participation in the administrative and academic staff weeks (Erasmus Staff Week) organized by Bordeaux Montaigne University and the Catholic University of Lille.
During the week, the Dean participated in various trainings and seminars focused on planning internationalization strategies, improving student services and enhancing the administrative mechanisms of Erasmus+ mobility. Particular interest was drawn to the activity in which the TSU Faculty of Law was presented through a poster session. The poster highlighted the faculty’s main directions and achievements, providing participants with a better understanding of TSU’s activities and international cooperation experience. This presentation contributed to enhancing the faculty’s profile and recognition within the international academic community.
The program also included presentations by the library and student services, as well as seminars on professional integration and career development, the insights from which will inform the faculty’s future academic and administrative growth. Special attention was given to topics such as medical justice, equality, and sustainable development, which were explored during dedicated panels and working meetings.
The second part of the visit took place at the Catholic University of Lille from 9 to 13 June 2025, where the Dean participated in various events and meetings organized under the Erasmus+ program. Activities included presentations and discussions at the Faculty of Social Sciences, as well as educational tours aimed at developing intercultural communication skills. Notably, the Dean participated in the innovative “One Health” Open Laboratory project, which aims to integrate the concepts of environmental protection and well-being into university life.
Meetings with professors and representatives from the international relations departments of Lille and Bordeaux Montaigne Universities will support TSU in establishing new professional connections and exploring opportunities for future collaboration. The experience and contacts gained are expected to significantly contribute to the deepening of the internationalization process at the TSU Faculty of Law and to the development of new initiatives within the Erasmus+ program.
