Tekle Gurgenidze works at the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Youth of Georgia. Her knowledge and experience gained through the TSU (Tbilisi State University) vocational education program help her in organizing various types of events, covering them, processing and disseminating information accurately within the Public Relations Department. She is a 2022 graduate of the TSU Vocational Education Center.
While studying at the TSU Faculty of Law, Tekle had multiple opportunities to work on important international events, such as the Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi, the International Investment Forum - Kakheti 2019, the “Welcome Challenge – Global Forum on Innovations in Hospitality and the Tourism Industry,” and others. These experiences led her to realize that event management was the field she wanted to connect her future career with. In 2019, through a student employment program, she started working in the TSU Public Relations Department and participated in the planning and organization of numerous university events. “The knowledge and experience I gained here once again confirmed the accuracy of my career choice. That is why, along with my master's studies in law, I enrolled in the TSU Vocational Education Center, at the ‘Event Management’ program in 2021,” said Tekle Gurgenidze.
Her interest in vocational education stemmed from a desire to explore new opportunities and gain additional theoretical and practical knowledge. “I knew that highly qualified specialists were teaching in the event management program, and I would be able to gain extra theoretical and practical knowledge which I could apply both in my current job and for future career advancement.” Noted Tekle, adding, “The program exceeded my expectations and gave me a deeper understanding of the field I had already been working in for three years. I met amazing specialists and true professionals who provided us with essential knowledge every day.”
After completing the vocational program in Event Management, she was driven by a desire for progress and change. Following her experience at TSU Public Relations Department, Tekle Gurgenidze has continued to build a successful career at the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Youth of Georgia.
