Tbilisi State University Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia and Deputy Rector Erekle Astakhishvili participated in the 36th General Assembly and Rectors' Seminar of the Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe (UNICA), which was held in Spain.
UNICA unites 52 universities from 38 European capitals and is one of the most important international platforms for higher education cooperation.
During the event, attendees discussed current issues in higher education, such as developing new mechanisms for academic cooperation to promote sustainable development, modern models of research and knowledge transfer, innovations in the era of artificial intelligence, and forming joint positions of European universities in response to new challenges.
During the visit, several working meetings were held with representatives of international academic networks and partner universities.
The meetings explored ways to strengthen cooperation between universities, implement joint educational and scientific projects, expand academic exchange programs, and organize a summer school for international students at Tbilisi State University.
