A seminar held at Tbilisi State University (TSU) discussed new and updated norms of the Georgian literary language, rules for transcribing and transliterating the sound systems of various languages into Georgian, and various types of converter. These were prepared by the State Language Department.
The converters will help users to correctly use Georgian and foreign-language names of people and places, as well as choose the correct forms. They will also help users avoid common mistakes and clearly formulate their thoughts. Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, as well as its LEPLs and N(N)LEs, attended the seminar held by the State Language Department at Tbilisi State University. The seminar aimed to teach attendees how to conduct business correspondence and public relations correctly and in compliance with the norms of the literary language.
