Graduation of TSU Vocational Center Class of 2024-2025

A solemn graduation ceremony was held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University for the 2024-2025 graduates of the TSU Vocational Education Center. TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia welcomed the 467 graduates and wished them success. “Work and study are the forces that give a person the greatest energy, establish them as professionals, and create their true value. I want you to know one thing: the greatest patriots of our country are professionals. You are already participants in this important cause. It is equally important that you love the place where you received your education. This is Tbilisi State University. You have a special mission because you are members of this big family and an integral part of it.”

Baia Kvitsiani, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, stressed the importance of vocational education for the country and addressed the graduates: “You are ambassadors, you must promote vocational education in our country and dispel the existing stigma. We really need your help with this. Today is a day of new opportunities and the beginning of your future. Georgia hopes that people like you will bring economic stability and development.”

Deputy Rector Kakhaber Cheishvili, Head of the TSU Vocational Education Center Levan Tsikaridze, and heads and teachers of vocational programs attended the event.

“I graduated from the Event Management program at the TSU Vocational Education Center. Although coping with this challenge while simultaneously studying for a bachelor's degree and working was difficult, I think it was one of the best decisions I made for my career development. I chose to study here because this program offers quality education, practical training, and modern approaches. It was important to me that the learning process not be based solely on theory, so I looked for a place where I could develop real work skills. That is why I chose to study at the TSU Vocational Education Center,” said Mariam Khmiadashvili, a graduate.

Current Event Management students also participated in the planning and implementing of the graduation ceremony. They applied the theoretical knowledge they had acquired during their course.

The TSU Vocational Education Center had 467 graduates in 2024-2025.

TSU has offered vocational education programs since 2007. Since 2019, the TSU Vocational Education Center has led the administration of these programs. All of TSU’s vocational programs are 100% state-funded.

Currently, approximately 500 students are enrolled in 18 vocational programs in Tbilisi and Kutaisi. The students are people of different ages and professions who want to learn a new skill.
